Return and Exchange Policy

Customers must present original copy of the receipt for any refund or exchange.


Returns or exchanges must be made within 90 days of purchase date.

In some cases, management may issue in store credit, in which case the credit issued will be at the lowest selling price within the last 3 months.

Merchandise that is returned or exchanged must be in original unopened, undamaged package and in resellable condition. A Percentage may be discounted off the original price on any packages that are open or damaged. Matt’s Cash & Carry Building Materials reserves the right to refuse a refund on any product and/or charge a 25% minimum restocking fee at the managers discretion.

No refunds on any material that has been cut or modified in any way. (ex. wire, chain, rope, carpet, vinyl, electrical wire, mesh, doors, windows, lumber, counter tops, custom paint, window tint, etc.)

No refunds or exchanges on special order items.

No refunds or exchanges on discontinued items

Broken, damaged, or concealed damaged merchandise must be returned within a 24 hours of purchase date.

For water heater returns or exchanges you must have your receipt. If you are in the first year of your warranty, please contact Matt’s Building Materials. We will send a technician to your home. After the first year you must contact the water heater company and request an RMA (return merchandise authorization) Water heater will not be exchanged without the RMA

Original credit/debit card must be brought in for refund on material that was purchased by credit or debit card.

If merchandise was purchased with a check, a refund can be provided after 2-4 weeks once the check has cleared, with the corresponding ID.

Matt’s Cash & Carry Building Materials reserves the right to request identification /information concerning any refund or exchange.
