If you are working on a new residential construction or remodel and have the blueprint or floor plan, Matt’s Building Materials can create a complete material or take off list quickly and inexpensively. Each of our locations has staff on hand that are trained to read house plans and provide you with a material list.

We require a deposit to begin, but if you purchase at least 80% of your materials from us we will refund your deposit. Plan readings usually take about a week to complete. You can either submit a printed copy of your floor plan or provide it to us in a pdf or image format. *If you already have a list of materials from your builder or contractor, we will not charge you for a quote.

Plan read deposit price is fully refundable upon the purchase of at least 80% of quoted material. Must provide proof of purchases in order to acquire plan deposit refund. Quotes are educated estimations and may not be 100% accurate. Overages/shortages of +/- 5% minimum on quotes is common and needs to be taken into consideration when jobs are quoted. Price quotes are current market prices and are only held for a period of time (depending on current market conditions). Material that is left over is returnable as long as it is in resalable condition, unused, and regular stock. Special orders/custom orders are non-refundable. Restocking fees may apply. Once the plan has been read and we have your material list ready, one of our expert salesmen will contact you to set up a follow up appointment where we will give you a copy of the material list, a quote on the materials, and an explanation of the materials.
